My philosophy boudoir is that in the traditional sense a boudoir was a lady's private room, where only she and her maids (who helped her to get into her corsets and dress) That being said, she could be completely relaxed and as dressed or undressed as she wanted. So for me, boudoir shots should give the viewer the feeling that they are seeing something that they aren't supposed to see. Something a little risque and naughty. So when the model/subject looks directly at the camera (and hence the viewer) it ceases to be boudoir and has become glamor, pinup, lingerie, orerotica.
And one other thing that I feel is kind of important. Boudoir is not necessarily about nudity (ladies, how often do you lounge about your bedroom naked?) boudoir is about capturing your subject at her most relaxed state. Getting ready for her lover, relaxing after long evening, or waking to a smile on her lips.
My goal is to capture you in your sensual moment and give you images that will let your significant other that they are on our mind.
